I’m going to take a little break from writing about Halloween costumes so I can focus on the other really important aspect of Halloween a little bit, and that is of course, Halloween candy. Without the excitement of getting all different kinds of candies while we trick-or-treat, it wouldn’t be nearly as fun to do all of that dressing up as kids. Finding all of the cool and unique candy in your bag and sorting it is just as fun as eating it, if not more.
I used to own a really cool soda store that sold a large variety of different sodas including nostalgic favorites like Nehi and Nesbitts. I would also stock retro and nostalgic candies. I saw that most people really liked sodas and candy products that they had when they were kids. I found a store that sells lots of different retro and nostalgic candy, including penny candy. The retro candy is grouped it by the decade from the 1920’s all the way to the 1990’s, Old Time Candy Company, home of Candy you ate as a kid®. They have pre-made assortments and you can create your own.

In addition to classic candy they have plenty of newer candy, sugar free candy, kosher candy, and even organic candy. The harder to find candies like Nik-l-Nips, Mary Janes, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Abba Zaba, Beemans Gum, BlackJack Gum, Clove Gum, add a lot of variety and nostalgia to any occasion. I was able to find several types of candy that is nostalgic for me such as: Mega Warheads, Pop Rocks, and Jelly Belly. Of course they have a section of candy specific to Halloween that includes Wax Lips, Wax Fangs, Jack-O-Lanterns, and Candy Corn. In case you were wondering the Snozberries do taste like Snozberries.
